Chase Bank - Slate Card

The Slate from Chase offering has quite a few new concepts that may benefit those who carry some sort of balance from month to month. While all cards must now meet the requirements of the CARD act, Chase provides Slate cardholders with more tools to analyze their situation and make smarter choices. One feature of their BluePrint add-on to the Slate card is the ability to select items that are designated “Pay in Full”. Those items do not incur interest charges from the purchase date and are interest free during the grace period, even if you carry a balance from the previous month. This allows consumers to effectively cut their interest payments by allocating frequent purchase as “Pay in Full” and eliminating the interest on those items. You can also modify your minimum payment to greatly decrease the amount of time to completely pay off any remaining balances.
The Slate from Chase also has a very attractive intro period and a go-to interest rate that is in line with the market. All-in-all Slate is a very good card with competitive rates and excellent benefits.
